How Automated Backups Work:#

1. DevCloudDesk runs a lightweight native dump utility (pg_dump, mysqldump, mongodump) without locking active tables.
2. The output stream is piped through gzip compression on the fly.
3. The compressed archive is encrypted and dispatched directly to your configured backup bucket (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, or local disk).
4. Retention policies automatically prune backups older than 7, 30, or 90 days.
